Sharpen your senses and get ready for an exciting night-time walk under the Ring of Kerry's award winning dark skies. Wrap up warm, tighten our bootlaces, switch on our headtorches, adjust our walking poles and begin our walk at sunset (most weather maps detail the sunset time).
We'll follow a looped trail into the countryside near the village of Sneem to experience the thrill of walking at night. You'll be amazed how different everything appears at night.
This is a Moderate walk of 8 KM with 150m Ascent.
We will spend 3 hours on this nighttime experience depending on the prevailing weather and sky conditions.
Of course the bonus of doing a night-time walk in the Sneem area is its dark skies. On a clear night you can see more stars than you might have ever thought possible. With this area's minimal light pollution you can see a vast amount of stars; planets, satellites, the space station and perhaps the Milky Way. You may even get to wish upon a shooting star.
Scheduled walking experiences will proceed once two people have booked.
Private experiences are subject to minimum number of 3 or the equivalent in charges.
Full payment required at booking: This secures your spot and helps with planning.

Walking poles are important for walking at nighttime, particulary when on uneven ground.
A good quality head torch will allow you to see where you are going.
We'll bring a star chart with us to help us pick out the constellations as their position continuously change throughout the year.
When you want to focus more closely on a particular area of the sky, the right set of binoculars will help you see much more.
A pair of waterproof walking boots with good soles is a must for this experience. As we may be in wild areas at night, boots are essential to participate in this experience.
Warm and waterproof layers are required for ths experience. Temperatures can be cold at night and the weather changeable. Please come prepared
